Hundreds of runners pass under the large American flag stretched across the street in front of the Olympic Complex in Lake Placid Sunday for the annual Lake Placid Marathon and Half Marathon. About 1,200 athletes signed up for the event. Warm weather and sunny skies greeted the runners for the 8 a.m. start.
