Large snow sculptures take shape in downtown Lake Placid, as competitors show their skills as part of the New York State Snow Sculpture Championships. Last weekend’s event coincided with the Hockey Fest held as part of the CAN/AM Youth Hockey Tournament. Other activities included public skating, ice bowling, helicopter and dog-sled rides, broomball games and live music.
