On a wagon ride through a cornfield during Harvest Weekend at Babbie Rural and Farm Learning Museum, David Babbie (center) educates the O’Connor and Tyler families on how corn was harvested and made into feed for animals with farming equipment used back in the day. Visitors to the museum in Peru were treated to demonstrations in the blacksmith shop and the granary, among other activities. Children were also able to paint pumpkins and make their own corn husk dolls. Local author Celine Paquette and local historian Anastasia Pratt signed copies of their books during the event.
