At Monday's meeting of the Plattsburgh Downtown Association, Plattsburgh Mayor Jim Calnon (to left of center in white shirt) discusses possible redevelopment of the Durkee Street parking lot property. One concept would involve open space in the center of the lot, with a parking garage/retail space on the north end. There is also potential for a whitewater activity area in the Saranac River, with terraced public use areas along the riverbank.
