Kathryn Shoemaker is escorted from Clinton County Court Wednesday after being sentenced to life without parole for the August 2009 murder of Ravin Miller. She was convicted of all possible charges for Miller's death and was found to have strangled him inside his Route 11 home to prevent him from reporting her theft of $35,000 from him. At the time, Miller, a local contractor, was helping Shoemaker financially in starting a trucking business. She showed no reaction when the sentence was announced and plans to appeal.
