Taryn Rager, co-chair for the Plattsburgh State Relay for Life, takes the first steps of the fourth-annual event with cancer survivors Dale Rager of Saquoit, N.Y., and Justin Sibley of Peasleeville. "I never attended a college relay and it's a huge turnout," Sibley said. "I never expected this many people to be here." More than 800 people were registered to participate in the relay held at the Plattsburgh State Field House Friday, with a goal to raise $45,000 to to benefit the American Cancer Society. The Relay for Life of Plattsburgh will be held June 18 at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.
