Wednesday, August 12, 2009. The Clinton County History Through the Eyes of its Children mosaic was unveiled on the exterior wall at the Government Center in Plattsburgh Wednesday. More than 1,000 students from nine Clinton County schools took part in the project, which depicts the countys history through thousands of tiny tiles that were placed to make the 38-by-9-foot mosaic. The project began last fall under the guidance of Bucky Seiden, Sue Burdick Young, Sandra Morse and school teachers, and with Clinton County Historian Anastasia Pratt teaching local history to students. The students then created scenes from the teachings, and those drawings were transferred onto tiles to depict Clinton County history since its charter in 1788.
