Milholland, who died in 1916 and is buried in Lewis Cemetery, led several suffrage parades, including, on a white horse named Gray Dawn, the Women’s Suffrage Procession in Washington, D.C., on March 3, 1913. Other famous women portrayed at the High Tea included Amelia Earhart, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Queen Elizabeth I. Proceeds from the event provide scholarships for women in education.
